Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Business Analyst at our Head Office in Midrand. The purpose of the role is to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions within an organization. Perform detailed analysis, documenting business processes, testing and validations. Identify areas for improvement using data modelling techniques and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience business analysis

Advantageous:

  • Degree in Supply Chain or SAP certification
  • 2 years’ experience in software testing/quality assurance

Job Specification…

Data Analysis and Validation

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Performing requirements analysis by gathering and interpreting requirements from key stakeholders in line with business analysis frameworks.
  • Analyse and validate master data to ensure it meets quality standards, is consistent across systems, and adheres to defined data governance policies.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies and provide insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making within the Procurement and Master Data department.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to establish and enforce data standards, data policies, and data quality rules.
  • Participate in data governance activities, such as data stewardship and data quality assessments.
  • Manage the creation, modification, and retirement of master data records.
  • Perform data mapping and transformation activities to ensure consistent data representation across different systems and data sources.
  • Create and maintain master data reports and dashboards to provide insights into data quality, usage, and compliance with data governance standards.

System and Integration

  • Support the implementation and integration of master data management systems and procurement systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, managers, and IT teams, to gather and document business requirements for new projects, systems, or processes.
  • Work with Project Team to manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance
  • Create detailed documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.

Administration

  • Provide training and support to end-users on master data and procurement management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of changes, adhering to established change management processes.

  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools., Understand the process modelling and re-engineering. Knowledge of Information Systems and business processes.
