Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and teachable Internal Sales Assistant to join our team. The position
will start with a focus on dispatch and will transition into sales as you gain proficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Courier Dispatch Management
 Plan and arrange customer orders for dispatch or collection through couriers (e.g., Pudo).
 Liaise between warehouse, sales, customers, and couriers to ensure smooth deliveries.

2. Sales Administration
 Assist in all aspects of sales, including customer communication, quotations, and invoicing.
 Match payments with invoices.
 Coordinate with the Accounts Department and Warehouse Manager to ensure accurate records.

3. Sales Training
 Gain product knowledge, improve client liaison skills, and support the sales team.
 Once proficient in the courier logistics function, begin formal sales training.

HOURS:
 Monday to Friday - 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
 Flexibility required during busy periods for lunch and tea times.
 Assistance in stocktaking may be required up to 3 weekends per year

REQUIREMENTS:
 Must be 18 years or older.
 Must be a South African citizen with an official ID document.
 Must have a bank account.
 Must have a Matric certificate.
 Must be proficient in both verbal and written English.
 Must have reliable transport to commute to the office.
 Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office and online applications.
 Being multilingual is an advantage.
 Previous sales experience is not essential but advantageous.
 Strong organizational skills: Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
 Attention to detail: Accuracy in processing orders, invoicing, and handling customer queries is crucial.
Basic maths skills: Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages.
 Customer service mindset: A positive attitude and commitment to resolving customer issues promptly
and professionally.
 Problem-solving skills: Ability to think on your feet and handle logistical challenges independently.
 Team player: Must work well in a collaborative environment and be willing to assist colleagues when
needed.
 Time management skills: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
 Self-motivated: Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision when required.
 Adaptability: Open to learning new processes, tools, and systems as the business evolves.
 Professional demeanour: Maintain a polished, courteous appearance and approach in both verbal and
written communications with clients and team members.
 Commitment to growth: Interested in developing a long-term career within the company, with a focus
on advancing in sales.
