Job Description

To implement and maintain measuring and testing requirements in Albany factories and drive everyday execution and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sampling Plans and sample handling	Implement sampling plans. Execute sampling methods. Ensure conformance to sampling, testing and handling procedures.
Sensory Analysis	Apply various sensory techniques to statistically determine meaningful results Determine the acceptability of a product through its organoleptic properties Carryout Shel life evaluation against competitors
Data analysis	Analyze interpret and review data and turn it to meaningful information Interpret test result data. Review test result data. Formulate trends. Recommend corrective action Drive activities related to improvement of bread quality across at bakery level
Analytical / Physical method handling	Benchmark and collect qualitative and quantitative data to establish whether the measure meets evaluation criteria Consolidate and Analyze data: flour trends, Bread evaluation score, data and process controls Compile inputs and evaluation findings on initial measure specifications to aid in refinement
Equipment Selection	Select equipment suppliers for specific test methods Select correct equipment for specific tests.
Result Accuracy Verification	Confirm results produced through principles such as repeatability and reproducibility Good Laboratory Practices
Equipment Trouble Shooting	Problems solve all failure modes for process, product, and equipment deviations. Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions.
Equipment Calibration, validation, and verification	Validate and verify equipment accuracy.
	Interpret external calibration reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
Bachelor degree/diploma, or equivalent qualification in a food science or food technology or food biotechnology.
Good MS Office suite (Outlook; PowerPoint, Excel) skills - advanced level
Able to effectively work with limited supervision
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication and interpersonal skills
