A well-established boutique accounting practice who offers professional services to a diverse portfolio of local and international client base since 2008, is looking for a knowledgeable, skilled and passionate Tax Practitioner/Tax Compliance Officer to join their team in the City of Cape Town, for a permanent office-based role.
This position is responsible for the tax function at, calculating, accurately completing tax returns, giving advice regarding taxation matters, assist individuals/trusts/companies with tax filing and returns. The Tax Practitioner ensures that clients pay their taxes in the most efficient way and benefit from any tax advantages and exemptions, while also following the various acts, government rules and regulations.

Qualification and experience
-Tertiary qualification with at least 5 years practical tax practitioner experience in an accounting/audit/financial firm
-Minimum of 5 years SARS e-filing experience
-Registered tax practitioner (advantageous)
-Strong technical knowledge of Income Tax Act, Tax Administration Act, Companies Act, VAT, PAYE and other SARS regulations (inclusive of SARS dispute resolution process)
-Must have worked with a portfolio of clients, having been responsible for client correspondence (speaking directly to clients to obtain information etc) as well as correspondence with third parties (e.g. banks, brokers, financial advisors).
