Purpose of Job

To study data and specifications to determine operating standards and measure the effectiveness of employees and facilities

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

  • Analyse work study data and equipment specifications to establish reasonable time and production standards Survey on-site operations and monitor production to measure and improve plan vs actual (e.g. record time needed to finish one operation).
  • Observe and analyse personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements Conduct time-and-motion studies to identify weaknesses and propose enhancements of the overall efficiency and cost savings relative to employees and facilities.
  • Develop and implement practices and programmes to enable the most efficient use of production staff.
  • Apply mathematical analysis to determine the validity and reliability of sampling and work study statistics.
  • Report on-site surveying activities and provide recommendations to improve productivity and utilisation of personnel and facilities
  • Complete tasks efficiently in compliance with the BU and Sasol Groups safety and risk objectives.
  • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals

Formal Education

University Bachelors Degree
Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate
